Ootake v2.91

PCE/PCE-CD模擬器 Ootake 發布新版,更新如下 :

- The processing timing of the internal sound source (wave memory sound) has
    been adjusted. I think that it approached the sound of the real machine.
  - As a result of the above adjustment, the problem that Ootake may not move
    smoothly if the power plan of the control panel and the graphic driver
    setting are "power saving" mainly when using notebook PC of Windows10 was
    solved.
  - The speed and timing approached the operation of the real machine. In the
    "Power Drift" demo screen (during no operation), the problem that raster
    scroll was flickering for one frame was solved.
  - Additionally, a detailed part has been improved and corrected.

bsnes-mcfly v106r04

Some of you may have noticed that Olympian Magic has seen no updates for over 3 weeks. I didn't put it on hiatus just for the sake of taking a break. No, the reason it went on hiatus is this project: bsnes-mcfly. This is a port of the Qt GUI from bsnes v073 to higan v106. In development versions up to v106, it was previously known as “bsnes-classic” in an attempt to replace AWJ's fork also named “bsnes-classic”. However, AWJ has shown that bsnes-classic is still alive, so this project had to be renamed.

This version of the Qt GUI has the following features:

  • Compatibility with higan v106, including v106-style gamepaks (cartridge folders)
    • Low-level emulation of the HG51BS169 (Cx4) and ARM6 (ST018)
    • Newer MSU1 features such as audio resume
  • Concatenated firmware in game ROMs, as well as a firmware/ fallback directory.
    • No cartridge folders are created within the user's home directory. It is all handled in memory.
  • Database lookup of SNES and Super Famicom cartridges. The database is embedded right into the application along with heuristics for games not in it, so icarus is not required.
  • Compressed archives: Zip, GZip, BZip2
    • Support for Zip and GZip provided by nall instead of snesreader
    • BZip2 support by Rob Landley under the zero-clause BSD license
  • Copier extensions: SMC, SWC, FIG, UFO, GD3, GD7, DX2, MGD, MGH, 048, 058, 068, 078, BIN, USA, EUR, JPN, AUS
    • All of these extensions are also available for use with BS Memory and Sufami Turbo slot cartridges.
  • Optional FuSoYa header (512 bytes at the beginning of the ROM)
  • WASAPI and ASIO audio drivers
  • Exclusive mode for Direct3D and WASAPI
  • Separate directories for save RAM, save states, and other mutable game files
  • Turbo buttons
  • asciiPad (more advanced turbo switches with Off, Turbo, and Auto settings)
  • Simultaneous up/down and left/right (must be enabled in the settings file)
    • I needed to use a really evil compilation trick to enable this feature without modifying higan directly.
  • IPS, UPS, and BPS soft-patching
    • IPS and UPS patches are applied before removing the FuSoYa header, and BPS patches are applied after.

  • Selecting one of multiple files in a single Zip archive
  • snes_ntsc configuration dialog
    • Because the palette size was increased from 32768 to 524288, changing a setting causes bsnes to freeze while it recreates the palette. This dialog had to go.
  • Binding the Pause/Break key to an input
  • Direct3D shaders
    • As consolation, the Sepia shader was converted to OpenGL

initial scene-detection algorithm + cleanup

Perceptual hashing... that's the cool shit.

I mean, my "advanced" perceptual hashing algorithm is really dumb
right-now, literally just taking a sum of all pixels in the frame,
and yet, it's good enough to detect when a _bunch_ of pixel-values
change from frame-to-frame. I bet that with a bit more tweaking,
like normalizing the frame wrt. the palette, I can get some even
better results.

I also have a "true" hashing implementation, where each frame gets
a unique hash. It seems to be realtively collision-free. That said,
there are times where there are collisions, namely in Metroid,
where the game likes to reuse screens. I'll have to figure out how
to deal with that...

So, what's the next step?

Whenever a scene changes, take the hash of the new screen, and see
if it matches up with anything we've seen before.
That way, we can have "re-enterant" scenes, which is a key to being
able to save/load tiles!

前天有人放了.......原本前天晚上就要放圖,不過工作太多再加上身體因素就拖到今天放假再來做,不能進遊戲的試試斷網後再執行,進入一次後下次就不需斷網了。可正常運行。

x360ce 4.8.0.14 Alpha

Xbox 360 手把模擬程式 x360ce 發布新版,更新如下 :

Important: x360ce.exe version 4 works differently from old version 3. Version 4 creates "Virtual Xbox 360 Controller" inside your Windows operating system when running. Version 4 is no longer use INI or DLL files inside the game folder. This allows for x360ce.exe to support more modern games. You must minimise (not close) x360ce.exe version 4 during the game to make sure that it can constantly update "Virtual Xbox 360 Controller".
P.S: Release is still in Alpha, which means that some things won't work (like old emulation mode which used INI). This version is intended to test Virtual Emulation. Download links and instructions can be found here:
